Token $ADA adalah token kripto yang dibangun di atas blockchain Cardano, yang merupakan salah satu platform blockchain publik terbaru yang saat ini sedang berkembang pesat.

Platform blockchain ini didasarkan pada teknologi Proof-of-Stake (PoS) dan dirancang untuk memfasilitasi transfer aset digital, termasuk kriptocurrency dan token yang dibuat oleh pengguna.

Selain itu, token $ADA juga dapat digunakan untuk melakukan transaksi di platform yang dibangun di atas blockchain $ADA.

Token ini telah menjadi salah satu criptocurrency terkemuka di dunia, dengan kapitalisasi pasar yang besar dan pertumbuhan yang cepat. Sejak diluncurkan pada tahun 2017, harganya telah mengalami fluktuasi yang signifikan, tetapi secara keseluruhan trennya adalah meningkat.

Sejarah

$ADA listing pada 29 September 2017 oleh tim pengembang yang dipimpin oleh Charles Hoskinson. Ia sebelumnya adalah salah satu pendiri Ethereum, tapi kemudian keluar dari proyek itu dan membentuk perusahaan IOHK (Input Output Hong Kong) yang memulai pengembangan $ADA pada 2015.

Pada saat peluncuran, $ADA merupakan bagian dari proyek blockchain Cardano yang masih dalam pengembangan. Tujuan $ADA adalah untuk menciptakan platform blockchain yang lebih aman, skalabel, dan berkelanjutan daripada blockchain yang ada saat itu.

Dalam hal ini, Cardano memiliki beberapa inovasi teknologi, termasuk protokol konsensus Proof-of-Stake (PoS) yang disebut Ouroboros, yang dipercayai dapat mengurangi biaya energi dan meningkatkan keamanan jaringan.

  • Aggelos Kiayias: Merupakan profesor di Universitas Edinburgh dan juga salah satu peneliti utama di proyek Cardano. Kiayias adalah salah satu peneliti utama dalam pengembangan protokol konsensus Ouroboros.
  • Manuel Chakravarty: ialah kepala teknologi di IOHK dan juga salah satu pengembang utama di proyek $ADA. Chakravarty memimpin pengembangan bahasa pemrograman Plutus yang digunakan untuk membangun aplikasi di atas platform Cardano.
  • Tamara Haasen: Merupakan kepala pengembangan bisnis di IOHK dan juga memimpin pengembangan ekosistem.
  • Nathan Kaiser: Adalah ketua dari Cardano Foundation, organisasi yang bertanggung jawab untuk mempromosikan dan mengembangkan proyek $ADA.

  • Tidak Mempunyai Smart Contract: Smart contract adalah bagian penting dari ekosistem blockchain, dan meskipun $ADA telah meluncurkan beberapa fitur untuk mengatasi hal ini seperti Plutus dan Marlowe, namun hingga saat ini belum mempunyai smart contract yang sepenuhnya terintegrasi.
  • Tidak Mempunyai Komunitas yang Besar: Meskipun $ADA memiliki ekosistem yang kuat dan terdesentralisasi, namun ukuran komunitas Cardano masih kecil.
